FIl-Am Teen na Nag-Audition Para sa American Idol, Binigyang Pugay ng mga Hurado
The judges didn’t expect that kind of performance!
There is no denying that many Filipinos are very talented when it comes to singing. As a matter of fact, Karaoke singing is always present in any occasion–from birthdays to weddings! Many Filipinos have proven to be gifted as well, as seen in many contests and shows across the globe. As a matter of fact, several names have made a mark in history with just their voice. Charice Pempengco (now Jake Zyrus), Lea Salonga, and Marcelito Pomoy are just a few of the many talented Filipino singers who have been recognized around the world because of their unmatched talent.
Today, yet another Filipino is rising to stardom after he was praised by the American Idol judges during his audition. Francisco Martin, a Filipino-American teen has auditioned for American Idol Season 18, and viewers are already looking forward to his future performances. Though short, his performance during the premiere episode has caught the attention of the judges and viewers, especially when no one expected him to be that good.
As he entered the stage, Francisco was obviously very nervous as he was shaking and sweating buckets. He wasn’t ready, but the judges gave him a hand by calming him down and telling him to breathe before performing. Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan come up to him, giving him a hug and telling him to calm down. Francisco has a guitar in his hands and was soon ready to shock everyone in the room.
During his audition, Perry was taken by surprise at Martin’s voice after hearing him perform his rendition of “Alaska” by Maggie Rogers. As shared by Martin on his Instagram, Perry says “Would you faint if I told you you were top 10?” Francisco is also a singer-songwriter based out of San Francisco, and is currently in college studying pre-law.
