Couple Pushes Through With Wedding Despite Taal Volcano Erupting Behind Them
Until death do they part, it is!
“Areas in the general north of Taal Volcano are advised to guard against the effects of heavy and prolonged ashfall. Civil aviation authorities must advise aircraft to avoid the airspace around Taal Volcano as airborne ash and ballistic fragments from the eruption column pose hazards to aircraft,” the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) announced, after Taal spewed 100-meter ash columns into the air. While residents are being evacuated in fear that the eruption and ash fall might get worse in the coming days, one couple decided to stick around for a while–as they were getting married!
The Facebook photo, which was taken by Peewee Torres of Sunset and Pines Weddings and Red Cars Photography, showed the couple doing their first kiss as a married couple, as the ashes from Taal Volcano are spewing behind them. The stunning photo soon went viral on social media, gaining mixed reactions from netizens. Some people believe that what they did was inappropriate, as the government already ordered the evacuation of people. On the other hand, other netizens praised the couple for their dedication and bravery, with going through with the wedding despite everything that was happening around them.
Hopefully everyone who attended their wedding were safe and that everything ended well. One thing is for sure though: they made beautiful and truly unforgettable memories on their wedding. What are the chances this will ever happen during any wedding again? Best wishes to the newlyweds!
